Committees

The Activities Committee plans and coordinates a variety of fellowship programs for all members of the church family.

The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing the sanctuary for the worship service. This includes: placement and distribution of flowers, changing paraments to correct liturgical color, filling altar candles and collection and assisting with the communion ware cleanup.

The Community Concerns Committee provides opportunities for service in community organizations. The food ministry for the hungry in the Reading area is part of their work.

The Fund Raising Committee plans and implements creative fund raising activities to support the capital expenditures of the church. A portion of the money raised is donated to community organizations.

The Kitchen Committee maintains the kitchen stocks it with basic supplies to support planned meal activities.

The Prayer Chain unites our congregation in prayer and provides an opportunity to express concerns for our church family and friends in times of need.

The Property Committee is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the maintenance of the church.

The Stewardship Committee implements educational programs and prepares the annual budget with input from all of the church organizations.

The Worship and Music Committee coordinates the worship and music programs of the church and plans for creative worship experiences.

The Youth Fellowship Committee provides opportunities for our teenage members to participate in volunteer and fellowship events, including summer work camps, retreats and social activities.

The Youth Ministry Committee works to plan, coordinate, and evaluate the ministry of Christian education that has always been a priority in our church history. Today, we provide quality instruction in our Sunday School classes and Teen Discussion.
