Making Missions Happen!

The Bern congregation is made up of people with an overall mission of:

We are a welcoming and caring Christian community whose purpose is to share the love of God for all those needing food for body and soul.

Among the many ways we perform that mission:

• Contributing time, food, and money to the monthly Schuylkill Valley Food Pantry distribution.
• Adopting residents at Berks Leisure Living to give them communications of encouragement.
• Providing school kits to benefit children around the world through Church World Service.
• Supporting Our Church's Wider Mission with donations.
• Providing people of all ages Christian Education.
• Supporting Community Groups with a "tithe" of money from our Fund-Raising Committee.
• Providing community events such as the Look for the Star! Live Nativity. (Saturday, December 2)
• Serving and cooking meals at the New Journey Community Outreach in Reading.

Our capability to perform successful MISSIONS rests on a FOUNDATION of our contributions to the CURRENT FUND.
